Illustrated with 10 original etchings (two with aquatint) by Valéry.
Loose as issued in original cream-colored wraps (titles printed in black
on front covers), in the original pale rose-colored board chemise and slipcase.
Contained in a walnut red Cave paper clamshell box by Nello Nanni. Collates
16 double bifolia: [1 l.], 2 ll. (frontispiece plate and title), pp. [7]-116,
[1 l.], 3 ll. (table and colophon), [2ll.]. Two small repaired and reinforced
breaks at outer corners of slipcase, otherwise fine throughout. “Monsieur
Teste en images" (pp. 7-8) here appears in first edition; the remainder

overall astounding condition, together with a copy of the standard bibliography.
